#57 cuties spotted, part 3

tube looks; unintentionally matching a stranger; the girlies in new york

It is high time for another roundup of CUTIES SPOTTED, my ongoing series documenting the people whose outfits and energies call out to me on the street. This instalment gathers the last of the looks I spotted last year. Some backlogs can be cute? Mostly London, with a few bonus cuties from Lisbon, New York, and Singapore.

No one asked, but here’s what makes a cutie to me:

• an aesthetically considered outfit,

• the sense that they are comfortable in their own skin,

• and that feeling of wanting to strike up a conversation and learn their life story.

In case you missed it, previous editions include a night in a Parisian jazz bar, a sweep of East London regulars, accidentally matching companions, and looks that would fit right into the @gramparents feed. The first kicked things off in London; the second wandered through Marseille, Berlin, Tokyo, Singapore, Paris, Copenhagen, and of course, London.

Now for new looks.

Something about their top. Love the raglan design, the two black stripes breaking up the blue, and the subtle taper. Lamb’s Conduit.

I just love how they matched—and that tote bag—pink is not even my colour. Spotted around Brick Lane.

Here you get two tube looks and an admin reveal (lol). Something so crisp about the look on the left, everything steamed and folded evenly. Also, small crossbody bags seem to be the theme.

Another tube look. What a sweet double purple moment. This one was on the Central Line, I remember, on my way home.

Blue on blue on blue; pretty high socks with sandals; and that snail tattoo. +1 for that belt on polo shirt guy—want to know what’s in there. (Could a phone fit?! Maybe a camera?) Regent’s Canal.

“Smiling is contagious / It spreads goodwill”. Look at those smiles. :-) Much later, I spoke to the co-owner L of Towpath, where I took this photo, and found out they’re family. PS. I want his glasses!

If you’re reading during a solo girl dinner on a Saturday night (at Towpath), I want to be friends.

And now for some non-London looks:

I loved the proportions of their fits, especially the long crossbody sling. How their braids fell. The way they held that plastic bag. And how they complemented each other. Would love in on their convos. NYC.
