When I conceived the idea for Objectively on a sunny September afternoon, there was no grand goal. I tend to look to the big picture, a respectable vision, an ideal state. This time, I decided to hone in on one thing, what I felt was the hardest thing for all budding ideas: sustenance.
On a personal level, I wanted to get comfortable with starting somewhere, going small-scale and slow, having the belief that consistency can ultimately lead you to where you need to be. So it’s not about getting it right the first time, or about hitting a high note and calling it quits, but to keep doing the thing.
And what’s the thing? I believe that everyone has stories to tell, ones that can move and inspire. Through studying the objects we live through, we can discover for ourselves and share who we are in intimate and imaginative ways.
